Chairmans Statement

For season 23/24 Lads Club will be fielding some 27 teams covering both Junior Boys and Girls, disability and adult football.

Established in 1925 we are proud of our heritage of inclusion and family ties none more so than myself. My father played and then coached at Lads Club and I followed a similar path coaching my initial U7 side right the way through into adult football. In my role as Chairman my team and I are committed to taking this great club even further forward.

Our wonderful team of coaches and club officers all initially had first contact with the club through their children who played at the club before taking up positions to share and support the same enjoyment of football with many more.

Our Club is one of the biggest providers of Junior football opportunities for both boys and girls, we are proud of our disability team and are fully committed to providing a pathway from Junior football into adult football with the opportunity to represent the first team in the Hellenic Premier Division. Furthermore we are delighted to continue our development with Junior Girls Football. Our Wildcats training sessions on a Wednesday evening are going from strength to strength and we will have 7 all girls teams in the 23/24 season starting at U8. Whilst we don’t yet have an adult women’s team it is our priority to create a pathway for our Junior Girls into Adult Women’s Football.

We are an FA Chartered Club providing a footballing pathway for everyone. If you are a player, an existing coach or somebody who would like to learn to coach there is a warm welcome for you here at Lads Club.

Thank you
Mike Shaw
