Lads Club Belles 7-0 Leominster Minors | Match report by Graham Saveker

The Lads Club Belles resumed their delayed Under 11’s League fixtures after the extended Christmas break with an emphatic 7-0 win over Leominster Minors at their Bridge Street venue.

Taking the game to Leominster early the Belles put the Leominster defence under strong pressure and following a breakaway Heloise scored a low right foot shot past the helpless goalie.

The Belles quickly followed this up when Claire, making a debut up front scored a typical poachers goal seizing upon a mistake in the heart of the Leominster defence.

Caitlyn, linking well with Heloise up front , scored a well deserved gioal before the break following good work from Izzy, which had resulted in a corner. As the corner came over the Leominster defence failed to clear and Caitlyn pounched to make it three nil.

A sliced clearance by a Leominster defender under pressure from Izzy saw an own goal and the Belles taking a 4-0 half time lead.

The second half saw a brace of goals for Heloise, to give her a hat-trick and Chardy take her chance in the outfield, swopping from her normal goalie position.

Following good work from Izzy again from midfield a corner saw Chardy score direct.

Hard as Leominster tried in the second half the belles defence of Maisie and Libby held firm and the result was a comprehensive win for the Belles.

A win that was testimony to the teams hard training during the winter.
