Lads Club Belles Under 11’s. V Leominster Minors U 11’s

Lads Cub Belles 4 – Leominster Minors 0

A dominant display from the Belles saw them confirm their early season form over Leominster Minors, with a 4-0 win at the Widemarsh Common ground on Sunday 4 November.Taking the game to Leominster early saw the Belles attack have a succession of chances in the first half, but a combination of good goalkeeping and the woodwork saw the Belles restricted to a single goal, scored direct from a Chloe free kick.

The second half again saw a repeat of the first with the Belles attack being dominant and within minutes of the restart the Belles had broken the stubborn Leominster defence twice, once with a Chloe penalty followed up quickly by a run and shot from Heloise.

The Leominster goalkeeper was again forced to make repeated saves to keep their team in the game, with Belles debutant Libby enjoying her midfield role, and the Belles showing some neat passing moves.

Leominster seemed to have restricted the Belles attack but Chardonnay, switching from her normal goalkeeper position to play in an outfield in the second half, went on a mazy run beating three defenders before finishing with a strong shot in the bottom corner, making it 4 – 0.

A good all round team performance by the Belles team.
