Match Report: Lads Club u15 Girls 2-1 Leominster Minors U15’s

This was a game of football played to a very high standard and was a credit to girls football.

From the off set Lads Club dominated play with slick passing, moving and high tempo football.

For much of the first half Leominster were penned back as Lads Club applied the majority of pressure. Eventually Lads Club seized their opportunity when Jay Legge played a long ball to Josie Evans who cut the ball inside to Ella Hill who went on a mazy run through mid-field slotting the ball home to give Lads Club a well deserved lead at half time.

In the second half Leominster tried to get back into the game but a good solid defence and some great goalkeeping from Casey Ellis kept their lead intact. Lads Club picked up the momentum and soon got back into the game and played some great football using the width of the pitch to their advantage which resulted in a second goal this time from player of the match Josie Evans who cut in from the right and fired a fierce shot into the bottom left hand corner to further the lead.

With only minutes to go Leominster pulled a goal back but it was a well earned win for the Lads Club side.
